Maclennan-LSE Waterproofing Contractors worked with the engineer for Millgate Builders and Developers to design the waterproofing for three new build basements in Winchester. The plot was compact and to maximise the floor space and living accommodation in each property a complete new floor was built into each.

The Maclennan-LSE cavity system was installed and drained into external drainage in the lightwell. Or pumped into drainage above ground level.

The walls were all lined in front of the membrane using the Gypliner system with insulation in between.  All of the services were run behind the lining.

The installation was carried out after the shell of the building was erected so their were no issues with safety as their would be working in the excavation. Their was no requirement for external drainage so the full area of the site could be used.

The work was guaranteed by Maclennan-LSE for 10 years and that was underwritten by the GPI which is the only long term waterproofing insurance available. The Guarantees can be extended for a larger premium if required. Maclennan-LSE take the risk out of Waterproofing. Maclennan-LSE is the trading name for LSE Building Preservation Ltd.
